Wheewwww!

Just when 'ya get started...Bang!!!

My initial post has stayed up about a week, which was obviously not my intention. But an ancient P3 computer with a creaky, cranky hard drive has probably breathed its last, and forced me to seek refuge in a rather suspect, and only slightly newer backup that I've only used sparingly in recent years.

Top that off with changed passwords, and lots of help from very good people at Townhall.com and you've got this second, and apologetic, posting from NOBODY ASKED ME, BUT.

I think we're back on track, so let's get organized and get blogging with things that make more sense than complaining about the vagaries of technology! Look for the first real column soon!

Something New Under The Sun

Hello, and welcome to the start of my new column.

Daily? No. On and Off? That's more like it.

We hope to cover a lot of territory related to the political, social, legal, and governmental scene from this point forward. With some luck, we'll avoid preachiness, and some of the pitfalls we've seen on other blogs and other media. You can bet it will be opinionated. I'm not an acolyte of the FoxNews "Fair and Balanced" school of malarkey.

There will be praise when warranted, and criticism (some of it harsh) when deserved. Bet on that. No stupidities of Katie Couric or Sean Hannity will go unmentioned.

There might even be a commentary on sports, as well. That is a time honored right, after all.

Fasten your seat belts, because the ride should be smooth but I can guarantee some bumps as well.
